Labyrinth Design/Build Workshops
Have you ever wanted a labyrinth in your backyard, neighborhood park, school, community center or church?
On Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 1:00 pm to 3 pm, Reginald C. Adams and Jay Stailey will present an interactive workshop for persons interested in learning how to design and build a labyrinth for under $100.
This workshop is open to all.
The ancient archetype of the labyrinth and it's legends have been a part of mankind's history for over 3,000 years. Labyrinths and their various forms can be found around the globe. From ancient silver coins from Crete, to laid out with rocks in northern Europe, to petroglyphs in Spain, to painted bark in Indonesia, and carved rocks in the deserts of the American Southwest, labyrinths have been used by cultures worldwide.
Using some of the simplest of materials and supplies they are reinventing how labyrinths are being used to engage community.
On Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 1pm-3pm Adams and Stailey will offer a hands-on DIY workshop for persons interested in learning how to design and build a labyrinth for under $100.
A complete list of materials and supplies will be provided and participants will be lead through the actual design/build of a temporary labyrinth at Swiney Park, located 2810 Cline St. Houston, Texas 77020.
