Unity Tunnel

The Unity Tunnel in Austin, Texas, transforms a once-overlooked passageway into a vibrant cultural landmark celebrating the history, creativity and resilience of East Austin. Created through meaningful collaboration with artists, young people and community partners, the immersive mosaic and mural installation reflects our belief that public art is most powerful when the public helps create it. In 2026, the Unity Tunnel received the CODAworx Award for Best Collaboration.
